Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, August 24, Nintendo announced earlier this year that it would close eShops stores in Wii U and 3DS.

CTOnews.com learned that this is not the first time Nintendo has closed its digital store. It closed the Wii store as early as 2019, and players cannot buy digital games. A large number of fans began to protest, demanding that Nintendo not shut down Wii U and 3DS eShops, but Nintendo did not seem to be prepared to give in.

Nintendo has scheduled maintenance of "Nintendo eShop" from 04:30 UTC to 06:30 UTC on August 30.

During this maintenance period, Nintendo is expected to further advance its plan to close Wii U and 3DS eShops in phases.

Nintendo has previously said that users will no longer be able to recharge / buy digital funds after August 29, but now it seems that the new plan has been postponed to August 30. Then, Wii U and 3DS eShops will be completely closed on March 27, 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that the Nintendo 3DS, a portable game console launched by Nintendo from 2011 to 2020, is the successor to the Nintendo DS, and its biggest feature is the introduction of parallax barrier technology to achieve an effect similar to naked eye 3D.

Nintendo 3DS has five derivative models, namely, the large-screen version of Nintendo 3DS XL (called LL in Japan), which went on sale in July 2012; the cheap Nintendo 2DS 3DS XL, which went on sale in Europe and the United States in October 2013; the new Nintendo 3DS and the new Nintendo 3DS LL / XL;, which went on sale in Japan in October 2014; and the new Nintendo 2DS XL, which went on sale in July 2017.

In addition, the Wii U, Nintendo's home game console after the Wii and the successor to the Wii, was first announced on June 7, 2011 under the development code "Project Caf é".

The Wii U is the first home game console in Nintendo history to support 1080p resolution. It comes with a 2 GB RAM and uses half of the Wii U operating system.
