As a result, some imported graphics cards have lowered their prices, thereby reducing taxes and fees.

Now, Pakistan is implementing a new tax rule to assess the value of graphics cards according to the size of their video memory, thus solving this problem.

As shown in the figure above, the evaluation value of the graphics card is determined based on the video memory and converted from US dollars to Pakistani rupees according to the current exchange rate, and then a 36% tax is levied on the converted value. For example, a video card with 8GB memory is estimated to be worth US $196, or 42607 Pakistani rupees, with a tax of 15338 Pakistani rupees, or about RMB486.

CTOnews.com learned that, in general, video memory size is a good indicator of video card performance, but there are some exceptions, such as the higher price and higher performance RTX 3070 has 8GB video memory, while the second price and performance RTX 3060 has 12 GB video memory.
