On August 24, Tesla announced today that 2022 AI DAY will be held in Palo Alto, California, on September 30, North American time.

It is reported that Tesla AI DAY aims to attract outstanding artificial intelligence, software and chip talents from around the world to discuss battery technology, artificial intelligence in self-driving cars and other innovative technologies.

The prototype Optimus Prime will be launched on AI Day this year, and Tesla said the robot will operate using the eight cameras used in its autopilot system and will install a screen on its head in order to interact with humans.

Musk said that if Optimus Prime could be mass produced in the next two years, it would be cheaper than a car under the scale effect, and the price might be $25000 (about 167400 yuan).

Optimus Prime is a new concept introduced by Musk at Tesla's first AI Day event on August 19 last year.

"Musk: Tesla artificial Intelligence Day has been postponed to September 30, and Optimus Prime humanoid robot prototype will be displayed."
