CTOnews.com, August 24 (Xinhua)-- according to a report released today by Counterpoint Research, the share of sales in China's high-end smartphone market (wholesale price of $400 or more) rose slightly from 31% in the second quarter of 2021 to 33% in the second quarter of 2022.

CTOnews.com learned that sales in the high-end market, including quasi-high-end, high-end and flagship high-end segments, fell only 10 per cent compared with a 14 per cent year-on-year decline in the overall market. The high-end (4100-5470 yuan) and flagship high-end market segments (6850 yuan) of $1000 or more both recorded growth in the second quarter of 2022.

According to data, the top six high-end smartphones in China in the second quarter of 2022 were Apple (46%), vivo (13%), Huawei (11%), Glory (9%), Xiaomi (8%) and OPPO (8%).

According to Counterpoint, the top six OEM accounted for 95 per cent of the entire high-end market in the second quarter of 2022. At the same time, vivo sales rose 91 per cent year-on-year, replacing Huawei in second place in China's high-end market for the first time.
