CTOnews.com, August 23, Apple today released a new version of Boot Camp Startup conversion Assistant, which allows Windows to run on Intel-based Mac. Boot Camp 6.1.16 is a minor bug fix update. The previous 6.1.12 update fixed Bluetooth and WiFi driver stability issues.

According to the updated release notes, the software introduces WiFi WPA3 support and fixes Bluetooth driver problems that sometimes occur when recovering from sleep or hibernation.

Apple launched the Boot Camp 6.1.17 update in March this year, which can be used by Intel Mac users connected to the Studio Display display.

Boot Camp users can navigate to the start menu in Windows and open the Apple Software Update application to install the new Boot Camp driver.

According to Apple's website, starting the conversion is a utility that comes with Mac, which allows you to switch between macOS and Windows. Download a copy of Windows 10 take 11 and have the startup conversion assistant guide you through the installation steps on the Intel-based Mac.

CTOnews.com learned that Boot Camp is a feature that is only available on older Intel-based Mac. It is not compatible with Apple Silicon Mac, and these devices cannot run Windows 11 natively unless virtualization software is used.
