CTOnews.com August 22, Microsoft recently released the latest Edge browser stable channel update. This version 104.0.1293.63 includes new sidebar features, including the ability to access Outlook, Office, and so on. However, some new features are being rolled out gradually, so they may not all appear.

Here are the updates

The Microsoft Edge sidebar allows users to access Edge functions side by side through the browsing window. Available features include discovery, Bing search, Outlook, Office, games and tools such as unit converters and network speed testing. Administrators can use HubsSidebarEnabled policies to control the availability of Microsoft Edge sidebars.

Search in the Edge sidebar. Easy access to updated sidebar searches through the Microsoft Edge sidebar, including easy access to Microsoft searches for your organization in Bing.

Edge sidebar game. Play popular casual games for free. Administrators can control the availability of the Games menu in the Microsoft Edge sidebar by using AllowGamesMenu policies.

Edge sidebar found. Find content related to the page you are browsing, including summary, source information, etc.

Edge sidebar to get favorite tools. Easy access to common tools when browsing the web, including calculators, speed tests, and unit converters.

Outlook in the Edge sidebar. Quick and easy access to Outlook mail and calendars. Administrators can use OutlookHubMenuEnabled policies to control the Outlook menu in the Microsoft Edge sidebar.

Office in the Edge sidebar. Quick and easy access to Microsoft Office documents and applications. Administrators can use MicrosoftOfficeMenuEnabled policies to control the MicrosoftOffice menu in the Microsoft Edge sidebar.

CTOnews.com learned that in addition to the new sidebar feature, Microsoft Edge 104.0.1293.63 also brought security fixes for vulnerabilities tracked under ID CVE-2022-2856.
