Sina Technology News Beijing time on August 22 morning news, it is reported that although Netflix (Netflix) is about to launch a lower price subscription package with ads, but may not display ads in all the content of this package, may cut ads from newer homemade movies and some children's programs.

It is reported that Netflix may not advertise when the homemade film is released for the first time, but will insert ads at a later stage. While it's hard to tell how long Netflix's new ad-free film will run, the decision could help allay filmmakers' concerns that ads could distract audiences.

Similar to Disney +, Netflix's homemade children's shows may also receive ad-free treatment, as may children's content produced by external studios. It is reported that some studios may not allow Netflix to insert ads in programs or films licensed to the company, but Netflix may compromise through ads at the beginning or end of the film.

It is reported that some of Netflix's current film and television program licenses may not include advertising rights. As a result, the company will eventually have to pay 10% to 15% of the value of the current transaction to secure the right to broadcast ads. Netflix had no immediate comment.

Netflix has confirmed that it will launch a monthly plan that makes money through advertising after its first decline in subscribers in more than a decade. Since then, details of Netflix's new monthly plan have gradually emerged. For now, it seems that this package may be officially launched in early 2023.

In July, Microsoft announced a partnership with Netflix to provide infrastructure support for advertising-supported streaming services. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos (Ted Sarandos) later said that the monthly service with ads would not include all the content Netflix currently offers at the time of launch, and that users might not be allowed to download all movies and TV programs locally at will.
