This feature is only enabled by default in the Firefox Nightly version of Mac, and has not been launched on a large scale. When the user clicks on this option, the Firefox browser pops up to say "searching for text in the image" and then automatically copies the recognized text to the user's clipboard.

According to the report, this function uses macOS's native OCR function, especially API VNRecognizeTextRequestRevision2. Therefore, this feature is only available for macOS 10.15 or later Mac computers.

CTOnews.com learned that this feature has been mentioned on Mozilla's error tracking site, indicating that users can choose to copy part of the text or use the screen reading function to read the identified text.

In addition, this feature will also be implemented in the Windows version of Firefox, and it has not been mentioned whether it supports Linux.
