CTOnews.com, August 21 (Xinhua)-- Today, a high-speed EMU and a comprehensive inspection train exported from China to Indonesia for Yawan high-speed railway were loaded at Qingdao Port and shipped to Indonesia by sea, CCTV News reported. It marks the official start of the high-speed train exported for the first time in China.

The Yawan high-speed railway is a high-speed railway connecting the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area of the Republic of Indonesia and West Java province. it is the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia and the first all-system, all-element and all-industry chain project of China's high-speed railway.

The Yawan high-speed railway, which runs from Halim station in Jakarta in the west to de Carrul station in Bandung in the east, has four stations with a design speed of 350km / h and a speed of 300km / h, Xinhua reported. When completed and opened to traffic, the travel time from Jakarta to Bandung will be reduced from more than 3 hours to 40 minutes.

CTOnews.com learned that previous reports showed that the Yawan high-speed railway started construction in January 2016, has completed the completion of all 13 tunnels, and plans to operate in June 2023.
