CTOnews.com, August 21 (Xinhua)-- Blizzard announced in January that it is developing a new survival game, which will be set in a new universe. It is reported that the new work will be launched on PC and the mainframe platform, and is currently in the process of hiring.

Jez Corden, senior editor of Windows Central, revealed that the code name of Blizzard's mysterious first-person Survival 3A masterpiece will be "Project Odyssey" at the beginning of the year. According to foreign media reports, the project has been developed for five years, and there is even a playable version!

Jez Corden said the new 3A survival game will be set in fairy tales and will include building and trading elements that allow players to trade with each other. The game uses the first-person perspective, including bow and arrow, magic and other elements, not MMO type, the painting style is similar to the Rare studio's "Everwild".

CTOnews.com has reported that the project director Craig Amai's LinkedIn previously revealed that the development of the survival game dates back to July 2017, which means the project has been in preparation for at least four and a half or even five years.

More interestingly, many of Blizzard's project developers have publicly expressed their enthusiasm for the game. Not only those involved in the project, but even those who have never been directly involved in the development have expressed their expectations, which seems to be a big IP.

In addition, according to concept and 3D character art producer Camille Sanford, this new survival game will adopt a first-person perspective

Shortly after the news was first released, Blizzard Entertainment Director Mike Ibarra said on Twitter: "I have been planning this project with the team for many hours. I am extremely excited about the team's vision and the new world it presents to players. Let them immerse themselves in it."
