Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, August 20, according to a CCTV report, China is demonstrating a manned lunar landing plan. Chinese astronauts are expected to land on the moon in the near future, and an international lunar research station will be built. In order to meet the needs of future space missions, the development of a new generation of manned rockets and heavy rockets is also advancing in an orderly manner.
According to reports, while maintaining a high success rate of long March rockets in active service, researchers are also constantly exploring to reduce the cost of rocket launch. Rocket reuse technology is also in the process of technical research and program demonstration, and the plan is to complete the relevant flight demonstration certification during the 14th five-year Plan period.
According to Wu Weiren, chief designer of the lunar exploration project and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, after years of demonstration, the fourth phase of the lunar exploration project has been formally established at the end of 2021 and entered the stage of implementation.
He mentioned that the main goal of the fourth phase of the lunar exploration project is to carry out scientific exploration at the South Pole of the moon and to establish the basic type of lunar research stations. The follow-up mission will be divided into three missions, namely, Chang'e-6, Chang'e-7 and Chang'e-8, which are scheduled to be completed by 2030. At present, the development work is progressing smoothly. "
Why choose the south pole of the moon? Wu Weiren said that this is because the north and south poles of the moon are similar to those of the earth, and there is a phenomenon of polar day or night.
By choosing the South Pole as the landing site, it is preliminarily estimated that there will be more than 180 days of polar daylight, which can overcome the adverse effects of the far side of the moon and ensure that scientific exploration will be carried out for a long time.
As for manned landing on the moon, Jiang Jie, member of the CPPCC National Committee and chief chief of the first Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, said that the development of China's new generation of manned carrier rockets is in the stage of tackling key technical problems and deepening the demonstration of the plan.
The development of a new generation of manned carrier rockets will enable China to land on the moon before 2030, and lay a foundation for follow-up lunar scientific research and development, deep space exploration and the utilization of space resources.
CTOnews.com reported that in September 2020, China successfully launched a reusable spacecraft from the Jiuquan Satellite launch Center and successfully returned to the scheduled landing site. The complete success of this test marks an important breakthrough in the research of reusable spacecraft technology in China.
