According to CINNO Research monthly panel factory production survey data, in July 2022, the average farming rate of domestic LCD panel factories was 73.3%, down 2.3% from June, and nearly 21% from July 2021.
Among them, the average farming rate of the low-generation line (G4.5~G6) was 71.1%, down 3.4% from the previous month; the average rate of the higher-generation line (G8~G11) was 73.6%, down 2.1% from the previous month; of which the average farming rate of the G10.5gamel11 high-generation line dropped to less than 75%, down 6.9% from the previous month.
("farming rate" refers to the proportion of time taken by equipment to create value within the time it can provide.)
From the perspective of domestic manufacturers, the average growth rate of the TFT-LCD production line of BOE in July fell to 72%, which was 2% lower than that in June; in terms of production area, it was the same as in June. Among them, the production of the G8.5 generation line has been further explored, and the production rate has dropped to 60%. The production line of G8.6 has increased compared with the previous month. The crop growth rate of BOE AMOLED production line rebounded slightly in July, with an increase of 6 percentage points compared with the previous month.
The overall production rate of TCL Huaxing TFT-LCD production line in July is about 78%, which is 6% lower than that in June. Huaxing further lowered the G10.5 generation line production rate to about 75% in July, and the T3 G6 production line still maintained near full production. Huaxing AMOLED T4 production line is still in low operation in July, and there is no obvious improvement. The production line will increase the investment in new product development and test.
In addition, the average production rate of Huike's TFT-LCD production line in July was about 70%, an increase of 6 percentage points over June. The production rate of Huike Mianyang plant and Changsha plant rebounded to about 60%.
In order to reduce the pressure of panel inventory and slow down the decline in panel prices, panel factories around the world began to reduce their farming rates in the second quarter, with the global panel production line moving down to 70% in June and further adjusted to 66% in July. LCD panel enterprises outside the Chinese mainland region in July have reduced their farming rate to about 55%.
Due to the influence of power cuts in Sichuan, Chongqing, Jiangsu and other places in mid-August, some panel factories passively increased their production reduction, and CINNO Research predicted that the average production rate of Chinese mainland panel production line in August would be further explored.
According to the survey data of CINNO Research monthly panel factory put into production, the average farming rate of domestic AMOLED panel factory in July was 41.6%, an increase of 4.5% over June. Among them, the average production rate of G6 AMOLED production line increased to 38%, still in a state of low crop movement, and there was no obvious breakthrough.
It is worth mentioning that due to the continued weak demand for panels, Qunchuang and Youda's July revenue fell sharply. Qunchuang's July camp received NT $15.8 billion, a monthly decrease of 18.3% and an annual decrease of 51.1%. A total of 8.25 million large-size panels were shipped in July, with a monthly decrease of 26.2%. The monthly decrease of small and medium-sized panel shipments totaled 2297 million, or 24.4% per month.
The revenue of Youda's July camp was NT $17.43 billion, a monthly decrease of 15.8% and an annual decrease of 47.7%. The total shipping area of panels in July reached 1.301 million square meters, a decrease of 17.9% compared with June.
It is reported that in response to the decline in orders for TV brands, many panel manufacturers began to cut production in June. Earlier, there was news that Qunchuang and Youda were continuing to carry out capacity control, and it was reported that employees could take more holidays when they were encouraged to adjust their production capacity. Other sources said that although LCD panel manufacturers have been reducing production, their output still exceeds the demand of TV brand suppliers.
