CTOnews.com, August 20, according to AndroidAuthority, earlier this week Google launched the official version of Android 13 for Pixel phones, bringing some improvements in security and privacy, Bluetooth, Material You design and so on. But it also seems to have brought some bug, and some users reported that the wireless charging function of their Pixel phones could not be used after the update.

It is reported that in the past week, some Pixel users have posted posts on Reddit to reflect the above problems. Judging from these posts, the problem of not charging wirelessly seems to be not limited to a particular type of Pixel device, but most of them are Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.

CTOnews.com learned that based on feedback from some users, their phones seemed to recognize the wireless charger and even displayed a rechargeable battery icon. In fact, however, the phone is not really charging.

It is worth mentioning that this problem is even more troublesome for Pixel 6 and 6 Pro users because these two phones cannot be rolled back to Android 12 after being updated to Android 13.

In addition, some Reddit users claim that no matter what charger they use, they cannot charge wirelessly. Some users find that rebooting to safe mode and then rebooting again can usually solve this problem, but some users claim that this method does not work.

So far, Google has not given an official response to this question.
