In the video, Lei Jun opens an App with Xiaomi Logo, which should be an internal tool, and then clicks a button to summon, and the Xiaomi self-driving car in the parking lot automatically drives from the second floor of the ground floor B2 to the exit on the first floor.

CTOnews.com learned that so far, Xiaomi has invested 3.3 billion yuan in research and development in the field of self-driving, and has set up a top R & D team with more than 500 people. at the same time, through wholly-owned mergers and acquisitions and industrial investment in upstream and downstream enterprises, Xiaomi has steadily promoted its medium-and long-term industrial layout in the field of self-driving.

In the demonstration video on August 11, Xiaomi has shown a series of operations such as automatic valet parking, including automatic continuous ramp, 90 °sharp narrow bend automatic passage, automatic pedestrian avoidance, automatic detour pile bucket, automatic parking and so on.

Xiaomi also showed a more sci-fi robotic arm to automatically charge, which can be scanned to the charging port and then charged in alignment.

Xiaomi self-driving technology has entered the testing stage, the first phase of 140 test cars, will be tested across the country, the goal is to enter the first camp of the industry in 2024.
