CTOnews.com August 11 news, today, China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance released the monthly data of power battery in July 2022.

In terms of production, in July, China's power battery production totaled 47.2GWh, an increase of 172.2 percent over the same period last year and 14.4 percent month-on-month. Among them, ternary battery output 16.6GWh, accounting for 35.1% of the total output, up 107.7% from the same period last year, down 9.4%; lithium iron phosphate battery output 30.6GWh, accounting for 64.8% of the total output, up 228% from the same period last year, up 33.5% from the previous year. From January to July, the cumulative output of power batteries in China (253.7GWh) increased by 175.6% compared with the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative output of ternary batteries 99.5GWh, accounting for 39.2% of the total output, increased by 121.9% over the same period last year; the cumulative output of lithium iron phosphate batteries 153.8GWh, accounting for 60.6% of the total output, increased by 227.1% over the same period last year.

In terms of loading capacity, in July, China's power battery load 24.2GWh, an increase of 114.2% over the same period last year, down 10.5% from the previous month. Among them, ternary battery 9.8GWh accounted for 40.7% of the total installed capacity, up 80.4% from the same period last year, down 15.0% from the previous year; lithium iron phosphate battery 14.3GWh, accounting for 59.3% of the total installed capacity, up 147.2% from the same period last year, down 7.0% from the previous year. From January to July, the cumulative installed capacity of power batteries in China was 134.3GWh, an increase of 110.6% over the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative loading of ternary batteries 55.4GWh, accounting for 41.3% of the total installed capacity, increased by 55.7% over the same period last year, while the cumulative loading of lithium iron phosphate batteries 78.7GWh, accounting for 58.6% of the total installed capacity, increased by 180.9% over the same period last year, showing a momentum of rapid growth

In July, a total of 37 power battery enterprises were installed in China's new energy vehicle market, 8 fewer than the same period last year. The power battery loads of the top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery companies are 19.0GWh, 20.9GWh and 23.2GWh respectively, accounting for 78.5%, 86.3% and 95.9% of the total installed capacity, respectively. From January to July, a total of 45 power battery enterprises in China's new energy vehicle market were equipped, 8 fewer than the same period last year, and the top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery enterprises installed 77.1%, 84.5% and 94.8% of the total installed capacity, respectively, for 103.6GWh, 113.5GWh and 127.3GWh, respectively.

In terms of export volume, in July, China's power battery exports totaled 2.0GWh. Among them, ternary battery exports 0.5GWh, accounting for 25.6% of the total export volume; lithium iron phosphate battery export volume 1.5GWh, accounting for 73.6% of the total export volume.

CTOnews.com learned that the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance also announced the top 15 domestic power battery installed companies in July. Among them, Ningde era ranked first with 47.19%, while Fudi Battery (BYD), China New Airlines, Guoxuan Hi-Tech and Xinwanda ranked 2nd and 5th with 25.23%, 6.07%, 4.70% and 3.11%, respectively. In addition, the 6th to 15th places are Honeycomb Energy, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Ruipu Lanjun, Fuleng Technology, Tafel New Energy, Jiewei Power, Penghui Power, Lishen, Multi-fluorine New Energy, and leading New Energy.
