CTOnews.com August 10 news, the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be officially released tonight. According to reports, this is Samsung's most powerful and durable folding screen device so far.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be pre-ordered today and will be available overseas in four colors: phantom black, gray-green, beige and burgundy (official website only) at the same price as the previous generation. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 starts at $1799 and will go on sale on August 26.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the first smartphone with Android 12L (OneUI4.1.1). CTOnews.com learned that Google launched Android 12L system for tablets and large-screen devices at the end of last year, which is optimized in terms of operational logic.

The machine is equipped with 4nm's Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 chipset, supplemented by 12GB's RAM and 1TB internal storage, built-in 4400mAh battery, supports 25W fast charging + 15W wireless charging, but does not come with a charger.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 comes with a 6.2inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X external screen that supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 402ppi. In terms of appearance, the new machine is slightly wider than its predecessor, but in fact it can hardly see the difference.

The machine uses a 7.6in QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex inner screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and also supports S Pen, although there is still no slot.

With a wider inner screen (374ppi) than the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the front and rear are covered with Gorilla Glass Victus + glass, and the frame is narrower, weighing 263g, which is by far the lightest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold model.

In terms of image, the new machine is equipped with 50MP wide-angle camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle and 10MP telephoto sensors, supports 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, front 10MP selfie lens, and an off-screen camera with 4MP on the inner screen.

The Android 12L brings a number of new features to improve the experience of multitasking on large-screen devices, as well as a new taskbar layout similar to that on PC. It also supports new sliding gestures, and Samsung has announced that it will join forces with Google and Microsoft to bring a stronger software experience to the device.
