CTOnews.com, August 10 (Xinhua)-- Samsung Galaxy J7 was first released in 2015. Seven years later, several Asian regional versions of the phone have received new firmware updates.

The new firmware versions are J700FXXU4BVG2 (for SM-J700F models) and J700HXXU3BVG2 (for SM-J700H models), bringing GPS stability improvements to Samsung Galaxy J7. However, these two versions do not bring new security patches and remain the Android 6.0.1 operating system.

CTOnews.com learned that Samsung Galaxy J7 has a 5.5in 720p TFT screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 eight-core processor, 1.5GB running memory and 16GB storage capacity, memory card expansion for the highest 128GB, removable battery at 3000 Ma, and a body thickness of 7.9mm.

The machine has a camera combination of 5 million / 1300 megapixels, a large F1.9 aperture for the rear camera and an F2.2 aperture for the front camera, and has a front flash function. The Android 5.1 operating system is pre-installed when it goes on sale.
