Yang Jie, chairman of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., said at the main forum of the 2022 World 5G Congress today that China Mobile has achieved remarkable results in the development of 5G with the support of all walks of life in the world.

He revealed: in terms of network construction, it has built the world's largest 5G network, deepened co-construction and sharing with Chinese radio and television, and opened more than 1 million 5G base stations, accounting for more than 30 per cent of the total number of 5G base stations in the world.

CTOnews.com has reported that China has continuously improved its information infrastructure and built and opened a total of 1.854 million 5G base stations.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, telecommunications fixed asset investment reached 189.4 billion yuan in the first half of the year, an increase of 24.6 percent over the same period last year, of which 5G investment reached 89.88 billion yuan, an increase of 29.6 percent over the same period last year. We have moderately advanced the construction of a "double gigabit" network, with a total of 1.854 million 5G base stations and 455 million 5G mobile phone users. In terms of aging and barrier-free transformation of Internet applications, a total of 452 websites and App have passed the evaluation of aging transformation.
