Cao Yuliang, the company's founder and chief scientist, is a professor in the School of Chemistry and Molecular Science of Wuhan University. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of sodium ion battery material technology.

According to Shunwei Capital, Professor Cao Yuliang said that last year was an important opportunity, mainly because the cost advantage of sodium began to highlight because the price of lithium rose from 50, 000 / ton to 500000 / ton last year. Sodium ion batteries also began to enter the industrialization stage from the laboratory.

With regard to the future of sodium-ion batteries, Professor Cao Yuliang believes that for lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries are not only substituted for each other to reduce costs, but also complement each other like a seesaw. Sodium-ion batteries develop better.

At present, Jia Na Energy is in the small pilot stage, with the initial industrialization, 10 kg product preparation strength, and has sent samples to the battery head enterprises for full battery testing and verification. It is understood that Jia Na Energy is planning a 100-ton pilot line and is expected to achieve a stable output of pilot-line products in April next year.
