According to reports, Unity will inject its solution business and game services business in China into the new joint venture Unity China. At the same time, local partners including Alibaba, China Mobile, Gigabit, Miha Youyou, OPPO, Jiadu Technology and Douyin Group will participate in the investment in the joint venture, which will value Unity China at US $1 billion (about RMB 6.76 billion).

The partners involved in the investment will also provide a variety of cross-cutting assistance to Unity, including entering new industries with Unity, deepening the application of Unity in the game industry, and providing marketing support for Unity products and services. The new joint venture business will not involve Unity Ads, which will continue to be managed by Unity's global team.

In the near future, Unity China will begin to build local customized versions of its core products for game developers, including the Chinese version of its flagship Unity editor. Unity China will also become the exclusive distributor of Unity global products and services in China, ensuring that customers and creator communities in China can continue to access and use Unity tools.

Unity will retain majority ownership and control of Unity China, which will be responsible for operations throughout the Greater China region, while Unity executives and representatives of major investors will form a board of directors to supervise it. Therefore, Unity will continue to consolidate the financial performance of Unity China. Zhang Junbo, current General Manager of Greater China, will serve as President and CEO of Unity China and continue to lead the development of the company. Unity China will officially provide services to local customers and creators later this month.

CTOnews.com learned that at the launch of OnePlus Ace Pro this evening, OCIC announced a strategic partnership with Unity engine. OnePlus Ace Pro will open the communication interface to Unity engine, resulting in higher frame rate, more stable and lower power consumption of the game performance.
