According to the China Trademark Network, the international classification of Wechat pension trademarks involves website services (trademark category 42), financial property management (trademark class 36), advertising sales (trademark class 35), communication services (trademark class 38) and scientific instruments (trademark class 9).

Tencent's application for the "Wechat Pension" trademark may be to launch a new financial service, a service similar to old-age insurance, which is just speculation, of course. Previously, Wechat's microinsurance platform has launched a pension product: the life insurance pension plan, which can receive a fixed amount every year until death after reaching a certain age (60 for men and 55 for women).
