1. Create a virtual machine and install the windows 2012R2 operating system on the ESXi host, so I won't go into details here. The IP address configuration is emphasized here, as shown below:

4. Pop-up wizard and select role-based or feature-based installation

5. Default "Select server from server pool"

6. Check "Active Directory Domain Services"

8. After clicking, the function to be installed in the AD domain has also been automatically checked. Click next.

10. After selecting, introduce the functions and matters needing attention of AD domain service.

11. Check "restart the target server automatically if necessary" and click "install"

12. After the installation is successful, click "close" to continue the subsequent configuration.

13. Click "function" in the upper right corner of the server to continue to configure AD domain settings.

14. Click "deploy configuration", and enter the root domain name "zy.com" in the box below.

15. Select the domain function level, select the corresponding function: DNS/GC/RODC; and enter the directory service restore password. This setting is: VMware1!

16. Click "next" to configure DNS;. There is no need for DNS delegation. Click "next".

17. Configure the NetBIOS domain name. The default is fine. Click "next".

18. Configure database, log and SYSVOL folder. If special requirements are required, default is fine.

19. View the configuration information and click "next" after confirmation.

20. This page checks whether the prerequisites are met, and then click "install".

21. Waiting for installation and configuration, you may need to restart

22. After restarting, you can see that the installation of the AD domain has been completed successfully.

At this point, the installation and configuration of the AD domain is complete. Among them, the DHCP feature has not been enabled. How to enable DHCP will be described later.
