Disk expansion of Ali Cloud ECS CVM-instructions for operation in multi-partition scenario

For disk expansion of Ali Cloud ECS CVM, normally, please refer to expanded data disk (Windows) and expanded data disk (Linux) for processing

Refer to this document for processing when using the xfs file system under Linux

This article introduces the operation in the scenario of multi-partition (that is, the data disk is divided into multiple partitions).

Basic rule: since the newly expanded space is attached to the end of the virtual disk, for multi-partition scenarios, only the partition at the bottom can be expanded.

Expand the data disk of Windows instance

Restart the instance, refer to the above document, and run diskmgmt.msc in the system to open disk management. As shown in the following figure, right-click on the rightmost partition, then select "expand Volume", and finally follow the wizard to expand.

Expand the data disk of Linux instance

Restart the instance. After unloading the partition to be expanded, refer to the above document and perform fdisk open disk management in the system. Then, as shown in the following figure, when deleting the disk, the number entered is the sequence number of the corresponding partition, and when the partition is recreated, the number entered is also the sequence number of the partition.
