Shulou(Shulou.com)06/03 Report--
The company bought a new hard drive for Dell T620, eight 2TB SAS hard drives, and installed them into the machine when they arrived.
1, do RAID boot according to the prompt press Ctrl+R to enter the raid configuration, who knows, can not do
Press F2 to start the raid
Always prompt error Virtual disk creation failed, call Dell customer service, customer service unexpectedly said warranty, no support, unless you renew the warranty I will tell you why, this is outrageous, in the future resolutely do not buy Dell servers, HP servers before the problem, long past the warranty, HP servers are sold to Xinhua three, toss and turn to find Xinhua three, they patiently called for several days to analyze the problem, and finally solved, Dell is really bad, support domestic.
There was no way to renew the warranty for money. I had to toss around a few times and restart it a few times. Later, I could actually do Raid. Raid6 was a hot backup spare. It wasted 3 disk spaces. All three machines looked like this. It was strange.
BIOS boot, do Win2008R2 system, the result is that some hard disk life and death can not be initialized.
It seems that the hard disk is too big, MBR does not support, had to make GPT format disk, with U disk boot Diskgenius do partition the most convenient. Windows cannot be installed to disk 1 partition 3.
faint, why is it so bad, BISO boot seems not to work, only UEFI boot,
Or not ah, finally Baidu a bit, modified the U disk part of the content, as follows:
First of all, the USB stick MUST be formatted as a FAT32 drive. NTFS will not work! (USB drive must be formatted in FAT32 format, NTFS format cannot be used)
Next, follow my instructions from Installing Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 from USB Stick. This will get you a USB stick that will work for non-GPT installs, but we need to modify it for EFI installs using Dell's uEFI implementation. (Then make the system boot disk to the U disk, where UltraISO can be used as the U disk system boot)
Now, here's the part that wasted so much of our time! On your USB stick, go into the H:\efi\microsoft\ folder and copy the boot folder into the H:\efi\ folder. (Then copy the\efi\microsoft\boot directory in the USB flash drive directory to the USB flash drive\efi\folder)
Next, go into an existing install of Windows 2008 R2 and copy the bootmgfw.efi file out of c:\Windows\Boot\EFI\ into the USB stick's H:\efi\boot\ folder but rename it to BOOTx64.EFI (not case sensitive). (Then find an installed win2008 system and copy bootmgfw.efi file to USB drive\efi\boot\directory under C:\windows\boot\efi\directory and rename it BOOTx64.EFI)
Then use this USB drive to enter UEFI boot and select Boot From File -> USB drive:\efi\boot\BOOTx64.EFI
This time it can finally be installed.
If you can't find the hard disk at the beginning, you may not have a raid drive, go to the official website to download it, this does not need to renew, you can find it.
Install the system, every time the restart does not work, he is still BIOS boot, had to enter the BIOS to modify the boot item for UEFI
After preservation, it was finally possible.
It took a day to get it right, Dell.
