"Xiaomi claims that its 30W Mi Charge Turbo technology can wirelessly charge 4000 Ma batteries in less than 70 minutes."

At an event in China, Xiaomi announced the world's first 30W wireless charging technology, which the company calls Mi Charge Turbo. According to the company, 30W Mi Charge Turbo technology can reduce battery power from zero to 50 per cent at 4000 Ma in 25 minutes. It takes 69 minutes for the battery to be fully charged at 4000 Ma. At the event, Xiaomi announced that the Mi 9 Pro 5G will be released later this month as the brand's first smartphone with Mi Charge Turbo technology. However, Huawei is widely expected to be one step ahead, as the certification website has proved that the Mate 30 Pro, which was officially launched on Sept. 19, may also have 30W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 30W wireless charging technology is installed in the terminal with wireless charging board, which can provide high charging speed. According to Chinese media reports, there is a five-layer nanocrystalline receiving coil inside, which can provide 98% power conversion rate from wired to wireless. The company says it is still working on true wireless charging, which will eliminate the need for wireless charging boards / terminals.

Xiaomi said the technology would allow buyers to wirelessly charge other devices with their phones, such as iPhone XS, AirPods 2 and smartwatches. This also indicates that the 40W wireless charging is being tested internally.

Before that, the fastest wireless charging speed we saw was M9's 20W wireless fast charge. The company has 100-watt wired charging technology in its stables, although it hasn't seen the dawn yet.
