Oracle 11g RAC automatically patch GI PSU (11.2.0.4.8)

To patch (11.2.0.4.8), you can refer to the reamme.html file in patch p21523375_112040_Linux-x86-64.zip, which describes how to patch in detail. The following is a brief summary of this lab.

1. Download the patch and upload it to all cluster nodes

Upload the patch p21523375_112040_Linux-x86-64.zip to each node / mnt directory, and after decompression, assign the right to move to the / tmp directory.

# unzip p21523375_112040_Linux-x86-64.zip

# chown-R grid:oinstall 21523375

# mv / mnt/21523375 / tmp/

2. Upgrade the OPatch tool (all node grid and oracle users need to perform)

Remarks: 1. According to the output results, the order of patching can be observed as follows: close RAC-- > patch RAC-- > close CRS-- > patch CRS-- > start CRS-- > start RAC

2. ACFS driver install actions failed, the error check log is displayed as CRS-10001:20-Jan-1613:31 ACFS-9109: oracleacfs.ko driver failed to load. The same error occurred when grid was installed to execute root.sh. After patching p17475946_112040_Linux-x86-64.zip, root.sh can be executed normally (refer to the link processing suse11sp3 to execute root.sh failure bug processing). Now I don't know why there will be the same problem after the patch.

3. The resource in the cluster resource is offline, which is caused by the failure of oracleacfs.kodriver failed to load loading. Restarting each node resource will return to normal.

5. Load and modify SQL files to the database to modify the data dictionary

In a RAC environment, you only need to perform the following SQL on one node.

Cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin

Sqlplus / nolog

SQL > CONNECT / AS SYSDBA

SQL > STARTUP

SQL > @ catbundle.sql psu apply

SQL > QUIT

The catbundle.sql execution is reflected inthe dba_registry_history view by a row associated with bundle series PSU.

If the OJVM PSU was applied for a previousGI PSU patch, you may see invalid Java classes after execution of the catbundle.sqlscript in the previous step. If this is the case, run utlrp.sql to re-validatethese Java classes.
