Operation background: due to improper operation and maintenance, a virtual machine hangs up, and the folder of the VM is expected to be deleted, but from the vCenter interface or the instruction interface, it is prompted that the file cannot be deleted and the file is occupied.

Judging from the error message, there is currently a process locking the virtual machine file:

Ssh to the ESXi host where the virtual machine is located, and use the lsof instruction to query the corresponding process:

Lsof | name or key information of the grep virtual machine

Kill drops the process:

Kill-9 process ID
