Apple announced it will announce its second-quarter 2022 earnings on April 28 and complete the usual conference call consisting of CEO Tim Cook and CFO Luca Mestri.

Investor conference calls, which typically take place shortly after Apple's financial results are released, will take place at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The conference call will be broadcast live via an investor webpage and executives will discuss results for the three-month period ending March 2022.

After holiday sales in the first quarter, second-quarter results are generally lower, including the end of a period of high sales.

While Apple didn't launch new products in the first few months of the quarter, it did launch new hardware in March. New additions include Mac Studio, Studio Display, third-generation iPhone SE and iPad Air 5 with M1.

In the second quarter of 2021, Apple reported revenue of $89.6 billion, up 54% year-on-year.

That includes $47.9 billion from iPhones,$9.1 billion from Macs and $7.8 billion from iPads. The wearables, home and accessories business generated $7.8 billion in revenue, and the services business continued to grow normally to $16.9 billion.

Following record Q2 results for the first quarter of 2022, Apple reported $123.9 billion in revenue, including $71.6 billion in iPhone revenue.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Apple has refused to provide detailed guidance in its quarterly results. It's unclear exactly what Apple expects to earn in the second quarter of 2022.
