How to open bitlocker:

In terms of the Windows operating system, we take the BitLocker function that comes with the system as an example. This time we take a USB disk as an example. We insert a USB disk with files into the computer, and then right-click in Explorer to see the "BitLocker" option.

After clicking, the BitLocker program will be started, and hard disk data can not be used in this process. If it is a U disk, removable hard disk and other external devices, it must not be unplugged in this process.

When it is turned on, we can see the encryption method. BitLocker provides two encryption methods, one is to use a password for encryption or decryption, and the other is to use a smart card for encryption and decryption. A "smart card" is a small card containing a computer chip, usually issued by the information technology department of a large company, and is rarely used by individuals.

In this process, we choose "Save to File" here, and in order to further ensure the security of the key, we also choose "Save to Microsoft account". We will explain the saved files in detail later. It should be noted that the Windows 7 operating system does not support backup to a Microsoft account, and only Windows 8 or later systems can use this feature.

After that, we need to choose the space size of the encrypted drive. BitLocker can encrypt the entire hard disk space or only the used hard disk space.

As long as we click "start encryption" to complete the whole disk encryption process, the whole process is relatively simple and easy to understand, as long as people with a little computer foundation can easily learn.

After the encryption is completed, you can see that our USB drive letter "I" is in a gray unlocked state. Although the encryption has been completed, you can directly click in to view, read or delete.

If you want to see the encrypted status, you need to insert it into the computer again after unplugging the USB flash drive. The disk "I" displayed at this time is the locked "golden" drive letter of the default locked state. It is already in the encrypted state, and you want to unlock it. Double-click will pop up the input box.

In the pop-up window, we found that there is also a "automatically unlock on this computer" check box, after checking, you can enter this computer without entering a password.

How to cancel bitlocker:

Enter the control panel\ system and secure\ BitLocker drive encryption, select your encrypted drive letter, and click "remove BitLocker" next to it.
