Recently, when I took over the system, I found that the server is a single hard disk. In order to prevent the failure of a single hard disk, I intend to consider buying a hard disk to achieve redundancy.

So start the experiment, log in through irac9 to check (for example, the irac address is not clear because it is not handed over, you can reset it through my out-of-band management documents of this blog server) storage configuration, check that the virtual disk is raid0, now need to change to raid1. After inserting the hard disk, identify the new hard disk in the physical disk configuration on the page, and then select the raid level migration in the virtual disk operation in the virtual disk.

After confirmation, you can migrate to raid1 online, and the system does not need downmachine.

If you need to do other raid-level migration, please refer to the dell documentation, such as switching from raid1 to raid0 without using the downlink machine, and the capacity has been expanded. All the above have been tested to be normal in practice.

If the array card fails, after replacing the entire array of cards, restart the machine and import the external configuration in the controller configuration to be used normally.

Special note: if the installation system is on a non-raid disk, the raid conversion cannot be performed and the system needs to be reinstalled.
