After using Wampserver to build the server environment locally, how do I access the folders and files in the root directory as a directory? How do I display the contents of a folder? How to use Wampserver to make a local computer into a FTP server? This article will do a detailed tutorial.

First, let's create a new test folder under the wampserver root directory and put some test files in the folder.

Because my port 80 has been occupied by the "Cloud Housekeeping" project, here we open a new port 81 for testing. Here, in order to facilitate understanding, we need to pay attention to the following points:

1. The "Cloud Housekeeping" project is not placed in the wampserver root directory (if you want to know how it is implemented, you can follow my other shares)

2. Under the root directory of wampserver is a dream weaving website (dedecms)

3. If the intranet IP is fixed on the local computer, that is, 192.168.5.49, we can use 192.168.5.49 localhost:81 or 192.168.5.49 to visit the dream weaving website under the root directory of wampserver. The effect is the same.

4. Localhost accesses the "line cloud butler" project, that is, the default port (port 80) of wampserver.

Let's visit 192.168.5.49:81/test first, and the browser will say "Not Found". Next, let's see how to achieve our goal.

Step 1: we need to find the httpd.conf file, file directory address: wamp\ bin\ apache\ apache2.4.9\ conf

Step 2: open the httpd.conf file in the editor, find the line "DirectoryIndex index.php index.php3 index.html index.htm", delete "index.php index.php3 index.html index.htm" and save the file.

Step 3: after the file is saved, wampserver restarts all services, which is very important.

Then let's visit 192.168.5.49 virtual 81 hand test; the result is as follows:

At this time, all the contents under the text folder are displayed in the form of a directory, and in a local area network, other users of the 192.168.5.49:81/test address can also access and query the list of all files, which is essentially equivalent to turning the local computer into a FTP server.

The "[DIR] wailian/" in the Test directory is a secondary folder that you can continue to click to access; test.docx will be downloaded directly; and the contents of the robots.txt file will also be displayed (as shown below). Click on more file types, you can try it yourself.

Finally, the local computer installed with wampserver is equivalent to a LAN host. Installing Proxy will import the LAN host into the bank cloud butler cloud management platform, which can manage the LAN host more conveniently and effectively, with but not limited to the following functions: performance monitoring, guest management, host management, remote desktop, fortress machine (operation video audit) and other functions.
