Log in to the database as an ordinary user and report an error when executing autotrace as follows:

SQL > SET AUTOTRACE TRACEONLY

SP2-0618: Cannot find the Session Identifier. Check PLUSTRACE role is enabled

SP2-0611: Error enabling STATISTICS report

Solution:

1. Execute the $ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/admin/plustrce.sql script file to create a PLUSTRACE role

2. Grant the PLUSTRACE role to the user

SQL > grant plustrace to XXX
