Theme virtual machine export virtual machine import virtual machine export

Click start-Windows Management tools-Hyper-V Manager, open Hyper-V Manager, or open Server Manager-tools-Hyper-V Manager, and open Hyper-V Manager

When we open the Hyper-V Manager, we see that a virtual machine has been created. Select the virtual machine, right-click the virtual machine and select "Export".

Specify the location of the export. We specify the location in the folder E:\ Hyper-V\ template, and click "Export"

Open the exported file directory, and you can see the exported Server folder, which is what we just exported. The export of the virtual machine is complete.

Virtual machine import

We still go back to the Hyper-V Manager, where there is already a Server virtual machine, we rename it to Server1, then import it, and click Import Virtual Machine.

Run the Import Virtual Machine wizard and click next

Locate the folder to find the exported virtual machine directory, and click "Browse" here.

Locate the virtual machine file directory we exported earlier, and click "Select folder"

Click "next"

Select a virtual machine. There is only one virtual machine by default. Click "next".

Select the import type, I choose "copy virtual machine (create a new unique ID)" here, of course, you can also select the import type as needed, and then click "next"

Select the target is to store the virtual machine files in the location, I specify here in E\ Hyper-V\ Server2 folder, of course, you can also default, but I think this is not standard, click "next"

Set the storage location of the virtual machine hard disk. I store it in the E:\ Hyper-V\ Server2\ Virtual Hard Disks\ file location, and click "next"

Confirm the configuration and click finish

At this point, we can see the imported virtual machine Server in the Hyper-V manager. The import of the virtual machine is complete.
