Cacti installation configuration

1.cacti is a software implemented in PHP language, the main function is to use snmp services to obtain data, and then use rrdtool to store and update data, when viewing the data, use rrdtool to generate charts and present them to users. That is, snmp is related to data collection, rrdtool is related to data storage and chart generation, they are the key to cacti.

2. Mysql configures the php program to store some variable data and make calls to it.

The data captured by 3.snmp is not stored in the mysql database, but is stored in the rrd suffix files generated by rrdtool, which is located under the rra folder under the root directory of cacti. The update and storage of data by rddtool is the processing of rrd files. Rrd files are archives of fixed size, and the number of data it can store has been defined at the time of creation.
