The Intel Alder Lake-P Mobility family will soon be available on laptops, and while the CPU has been officially released, there are still not many benchmarks, especially for the 28W family.

Intel Alder Lake-P 28W Laptop CPU Benchmarking: Core i5- 1240P faster than i7-1195G7, Core i7- 1280P comparable to AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX

New benchmark results for Intel Alder Lake Core i7- 1280P and Core i5- 1240P CPUs have been leaked in Geekbench. The difference between the Alder Lake-P and Alder Lake-H CPUs is that the former has a base TDP of 28W and a turbo rating of 64W, while the H series has a base TDP of 45W and a turbo rating of up to 115W. As a result, the Alder Lake-P family has a lower clock speed, but most CPUs retain the same core configuration of up to 14 cores and 20 threads.

The two CPUs that appear in the benchmark are the Intel Core i7- 1280P and Core i5- 1240P. The Core i7- 1240P features 12 cores (6+8), 20 threads, 24 MB of L3 cache, a base frequency of 1.8 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.8 GHz. The Core i5-1240P features 12 cores (4+8), 16 threads, 12 MB L3 cache, a 1.7 GHz base frequency and a 4.4 GHz boost frequency. As mentioned earlier, both CPUs have a base TDP of 28W and a maximum turbo power rating of 64W.

The performance of the leak is in the same laptop, but with a different CPU configuration. The laptop in particular is Lenovo '4810RD 0100'. The Alder Lake Core i7- 1280P configuration comes with 32 GB of DDR4-2600 memory, while the Core i5- 1240P comes with 16 GB of system memory. In terms of performance, Core i7- 1280P single core 1784 points, multi-core 9790 points, Core i5- 1240P single core 1648 points, multi-core 8550 points.
