The meaning of the position attribute value:

Static

The element frame is malformed. Block-level elements generate a rectangle as part of the document flow, while inline elements erect one or more line boxes in their parent elements.

Relative

The element box is offset by a distance. The element still adheres to its pre-indeterminate form, and the space it originally occupied is still retained.

Absolute

The element box is completely removed from the document stream and is positioned relative to its outline block. The implication block is mostly another element in the document, perhaps the initial implication block. The space previously occupied by the element in the malformed document stream is opened as if the element did not exist. The element is positioned to generate a block-level box, regardless of what type of box it generates in the malformed flow.

Fixed

The display of the element box is similar to setting the position setting rig to absolute, except that the containing block is the window itself.

Hint: relative to positioning, it is actually regarded as part of the ordinary flow positioning mold, because the position of the element is definitely for its position in the ordinary flow.
