Oracle 11g configuration

1. Create an instance

An instance is a part of the computer memory and auxiliary processing background processes needed to access the Oracle database, which is a collection of processes and the memory (SGA) used by these processes. A database can have multiple instances.

Creation step

After the Oracle 11g installation is completed, an Oracle folder will be formed in the start directory. Open the path: → database configuration assistant, the Oracle-oradba11g_home1 → configuration and migration tool, as shown in the figure:

Click "next" directly.

Select to create the database and click "next"

Select general purpose or transaction handling, and click "next"

Enter the global database name (instance name) to be created. The default SID is the same as the database name. Click "next".

Click "next"

To set the password, click "next"

This requirement can be skipped by clicking "Yes".

Click "next"

Select whether to set up a quick recovery area (uncheck if you create a database locally on your computer), and click "next"

Click "next"

To configure memory size, character set, etc., click "next"

Click "next"

Click "finish"

Click OK to start creating the instance

You can exit after the creation is completed.

two。 Log in

At this point, you can log in to the database through the program sqlplus that comes with oracle, and open the start menu to open the path Oracle-oradba11g_home1 → application to develop → sqlplus.

Enter the user name sys (sys must be logged in as an administrator, that is, add "as sysdba" after the login name), enter the password, that is, prompt Oracle to connect

3. Configure snooping

Oracle snooping is set on the server side, which is a network service based on the server side, which is used to listen for the connection requests sent by the client to the database side. Judge whether the connection request is correct, connect if the request is valid, and reject if it fails. After configuring the monitoring, you can log in to the Oracle database using tools such as plsql develop.

Open the Oracle-oradba11g_home1 → configuration and migration tool → net configuration assistant, as shown in the figure

Select listener configuration, and click next

Select "add" and click "next"

Enter the listener name and click "next"

Select the connection protocol (default is TCP protocol), and click "next"

Select the port number (default port 1521) and click "next"

Whether to configure another listener, select "No" and click "next"

Listener configuration is complete. Click "next" to finish.

4. Configure the local network service name

Open the Oracle-oradba11g_home1 → configuration and migration tool → net configuration assistant, as shown in the figure

Select Local Network Service name configuration, and click next.

Select "add" and click "next"

Enter the service name (that is, the instance name created above, also known as the global database name), and click next.

Select the TCP protocol and click "next"

Enter the host name, the host name of the database you need to connect to, and fill in "localhost" if you are local. Select the port number and click "next".

You can choose whether or not to test. Select "Yes, test" here, and click "next".

Click change to log in

Enter the user name and password to test, click "Yes" to indicate that the test is successful, and the network service configuration is successful.

Configuration complete.
