Apple has stopped selling Bose, Sonos and Logitech speakers and headphones in retail and online stores as it prepares to launch rumored new audio AirPods Studio headsets and HomePod mini speakers.

Apple has been selling third-party headphones and speakers, including the Beats, to third parties as accessories for its products. However, after the success of the AirPods, Apple will now fully develop its own branded audio products. Although HomePod has been less successful, mainly because its prices and services are available in only three countries around the world, the company has removed competitive products from its online store. Employees at Apple stores were also asked to remove headphones and speakers from other brands, Bloomberg reported.

Apple has informed Bose, Sonos and other companies that it will no longer sell third-party speakers or headphones in its retail and online stores from September.

This is not the first time Apple has removed competitors before launching its own products. Before the launch of the Apple Watch, Apple stopped selling Fitbit in stores in a similar way.

Although it has not been officially announced, Apple is expected to introduce advanced AirPods Studio headphones with modular components and cheaper HomePod mini speakers. These products will be used in conjunction with other products in Apple's product line, including AirPods, AirPods Pro, Beats headphones and Beats speakers.

There are rumors that over time, Beats will be eliminated and replaced by Apple's own headphones and speakers. Currently, Apple only sells wireless earplugs in the form of AirPods. With AirPods Studio, the company will provide consumers with high-end premium headphones. At present, Powerbeats and Powerbeats Pro fill the gap in sports headphones.

However, this rumor should be doubted. Beats headphones can meet the different needs of users, and Apple cannot simply replace all products without replacing them with better ones. If Apple decides to abandon the Beats brand and its products, and there are no suitable alternatives at various prices, nor can they find the customization and features that Beats consumers like, users will have to turn elsewhere.
