1. Start the command prompt as an administrator, cd C:\ windows\ system32, and navigate to the system32 of disk C. both sethc.exe and cmd.exe are here.

2, continue to run copy cmd.exe sethc.exe under the command line just now (to make cmd.exe more sethc.exe, to run sethc.exe is to run cmd.exe). Of course, you can copy the sethc.exe first and make a backup. Operations such as deleting sethc.exe directly, renaming, and so on will find that in addition to administrator privileges, permissions provided by TrustedInstaller are also required to make changes to this file. OK, how to get this permission is very simple, just change the owner of the exe file.

The methods are as follows:

Right-click-- attribute-- Security-Advanced, you will find that the owner is TrustedInstaller. Click the change on the right, enter your user name or Administrators, and then click the check name on the right to make sure. Then don't forget to change the user name or access to Administrators, which can be changed to full control, OK. Then run step 2 to find that the command was executed successfully.

However, it is not modified in this way under XP. The problem that cannot be deleted due to lack of permissions is that sethc.exe comes back after deletion, because system file protection is at work.

Solution: run > gpedit.msc > computer configuration-manage templates-system-windows file protection is disabled. Turn on the service again and stop the Cryptographic Services service, OK.

Don't forget to change it back after you change it.

3, restart the computer, found that to enter the password, press shift 5 times in a row, there is a cmd.exe window, and is the administrator authority. That's because we changed sethc.exe to cmd.exe and ran cmd.exe when running sethc.exe. Enter the command: net user user name 123456, forcibly change the user's password to 123456.
