Usually we use opatch tools to upgrade the database, so it is generally required that the version of opatch is higher than the version of the database you want to upgrade. For example, if you upgrade the database to 11.1.0.2, then the opatch is higher than 11.1.0.2.

The Patch NO of the opatch tool after version 10.2.0.5 is still 6880880 up to now.

You can execute unzip under the GRID_HOME,ORALE_HOME directory. Of course, you'd better back up the original OPatch directory first.
