However, the user account built into the system can not meet the daily use and management needs, so it is often necessary to establish a new account for the user, so when do you need to create a new user account?

When a user needs to log on to the computer interactively (locally) and then do some basic Internet or word processing work, but do not want the user to have the right to shut down or format the hard disk.

You want several users to access the resources of the local computer through the network, and these users need to have different access rights to these resources.

Only system administrators can create users and groups locally, and under the graphical interface, you can use Local users and groups in computer Management to manage users and groups.

1. Manage user accounts

Right-click on the users option in Local users and groups and execute the New user command to create a local user. When creating a user, you need to enter and select some of the following information.

User name: the name under which the user logs in. This user name cannot be the same as that of other user accounts or group accounts in the current system. The user name is up to 20 characters long and is case-insensitive. You can also use Chinese, but you cannot use some special characters ("/\:; | =, + *?). In general, it is customary to use the user's English name or pinyin to form the user's account name.

Full name and description: this information is optional, you can enter some employee's personal information and company information, such as name and department, etc.

Password and confirmation password: enter the password that the user will use when logging in in the future. Enter it twice and must be the same. The maximum length of the password can reach 127 digits.

The user must change the password the next time he logs in: usually the administrator sets up an account for other users, but then the administrator will know the password of the user's account. To avoid unnecessary trouble in the future, you can set up the system to force the user to change the password the next time the user logs on to this computer.

Users cannot change their password: by default, each user can change his or her own password, but sometimes multiple users use the same account, and if one of them changes the password, other users will not be able to log in. You can set this item to prevent users from changing their passwords.

Account disabled: when a user is on a business trip or temporarily away for a few months, the user can be disabled, after which the account will not be able to log in.

Passwords never expire: passwords set by default will expire after 42 days, and passwords will never expire when selected.

two。 Management group

A group is a collection of accounts. when a user joins a group, the user inherits the permissions that the group has, and a user account can join multiple groups at the same time.

In a Windows system, you can assign permissions to a single user, but when there are too many users, a lot of repetitive work is done. At this point, you can assign permissions to the local groups in the system, and then add users to the local groups, and these users will inherit the permissions of the local groups.

The interface for creating a local group is shown in the following figure. Enter the group name and describe the information as you like, and click the "create" button.

There are two ways to add members to a group. one is to open the group you want to join and click the "add" button. You can enter the user's name directly in the Select user dialog box. If multiple users need to be separated by semicolons, this method is suitable for adding multiple users to a group.

Another method is to open the user's properties dialog box and add the group that the user wants to join in the belonging tab, which is suitable for adding a user to multiple groups.
