On Tuesday, Sony announced a new mirrorless camera camera handle that can be wirelessly connected to the body via Bluetooth.

Grip's official name is GP-VPT2BT and is designed to reassure content creators. With a wireless connection, you can avoid any clumsy cables and keep the camera's port sealed from outside influence.

Oddly enough, the grip itself does not guarantee 100% dust and moisture, so keep this in mind.

Sony's new handle also adds a photo button, a movie button, a lock switch and a customizable button, as well as a zoom joystick and a device to adjust the angle and camera direction (for selfies). Sony pointed out that the handle can even be turned into a tripod, by zooming in on the bottom part, hands-free, rock stable shooting.

We were told that it is compatible with Alpha A9, A9II, A7R IV, A7R III, A6600, A6400 and A6100, as well as RX100 VII and RX0 II cameras.

The Sony GP-VPT2BT camera handle will go on sale in North America later this month for $140.
