Choice of Virtualization Technology

There are VPS based on a variety of virtualization technologies in the market, among which the more mainstream is VPS based on OpenVZ and Xen virtualization technology. I personally think that, in terms of use, the difference between the two is that the former is easy to be oversold, and most service providers are oversold, while the latter is not easily oversold, and few service providers can be oversold. At the same time, the former does not support PPTP-based VPN because it does not support eth0 virtualization, while the latter does.

For VPS based on OpenVZ virtualization technology, the price is cheaper, but the stability is not much, so it is found that the stability is more reliable is EcVPS.

For VPS based on Xen virtualization technology, it is relatively expensive, but it is more stable because it is not easy to oversell. At present, the best reputation is Linode, of course, according to my own test, there are more reliable VPSYou and RasHost.

Personally, if we purely put the website and do not consider providing PPTP-based VPN services, VPS based on OpenVZ virtualization technology will be more friendly to the people in price, and of course we should consider the factor of overselling. At the same time, the former is much more expensive than the latter because of its omni-directional after-sales service. In the latter, it all depends on the self-reliance of the stationmaster.
