First, you need a USB flash drive or external hard drive, with at least 16GB free space, but preferably 32GB or larger. You can then use a special utility called WinToUSB to set up the USB drive for Windows 10. Once you are done, you will be able to boot Windows 10 from the USB drive.

Microsoft provides a tool called Windows to Go that generates bootable Windows USB drives. However, this program is only applicable to the Enterprise version of Windows 10 and requires Windows To Go certified drives. With WinToUSB, you can create bootable drives from any version of the operating system and any type of USB drive. One of the disadvantages is that Windows 10 from the USB flash drive runs much slower than the hard drive.

Run Windows 10 from a USB drive

Create a Windows 10 ISO file to clone Windows 10 to the USB drive. To do this, download Microsoft's media creation tool from the Windows 10 website. Double-click the downloaded MediaCreationTool.exe file.

On the first screen of applicable notices and license terms, click the accept button.

In "what do you want to do?" On the screen, click the create installation Media for another PC option. Click next.

On the Select language, Architecture, and version screen, verify that all options are correct, and then click next.

On the Select Media to use screen, click the options for the ISO file. Click next.

Select a location on the hard drive to store the Windows.iso file. Click Save. Windows 10 now generates the necessary ISO files. "when you have completed this process, click finish." Then plug in our USB drive. Download and install WinToUSB software from this website (you can also take a look at Baidu's WinToUSB3.5 cracked version). You can use the free version, or you can buy their professional version for $29.95 (about 206.91 yuan) if you have the money.

Start WinToUSB. On the introduction screen, click the button to the right of the Image File field, and then select the Windows.iso file you just created. Then select the version of Windows 10 that you want to clone to the USB storage device. Click next.

On the next screen, click the drop-down arrow "Please select a destination disk" next to the field, and then select your USB drive. A message pops up asking you to select a partition scheme. Click the MBR for BIOS option, and then click Yes.

On the next screen, click the option for Legacy to select the installation mode. Click next. You will now create your Windows 10 USB.

When the installation process reaches 100%, indicate that it is complete, close the WinToUSB program and delete the USB drive.

When you want to start Windows 10:00 on another computer, insert the USB drive into the PC, open it, and bring up the boot menu. What you do depends on the computer you use; sometimes it's F8 or Shift / F8, other times it's F12. Select the option to start the USB drive. Log in to Windows 10.

The first time you use a Windows 10 drive on another computer, you need to establish the necessary Wi-Fi passwords and other settings. You also need to activate Windows 10 each time you use a USB drive on a different PC, preferably using the Microsoft account linked to your digital license. You can then install the application on a Windows 10 USB drive and access any files or documents stored online, so the experience is close to working on your own Windows 10 PC.
