Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--

Now is the 21st century, is an era of vigorous development of science and technology, the IT industry has become a very hot industry, many people want to develop to IT, looking for a job related to IT. Therefore, there are many IT training institutions, such as training Linux, training Cisco, training Huawei, training H3C, training python and so on. This makes a lot of beginners who want to get in touch with the I / T industry nerve-racking. What should I learn? What should I learn? What's better to learn? Here comes a series of questions. When some students no longer know what to learn, they will think that I will always learn something like this. What I want to say is: if you think this way, you are wrong. You learn a little bit in one way or another, thinking that you have learned a lot, but in fact, you will spend a lot of energy to learn everything. In the end, you may know a little bit about everything, but you have not learned anything, and learning is in vain.

Today, I'm going to talk about Linux. Some students will ask why you want to teach Linux, not to mention learning other things. Can't others compare with Linux? Actually, it's not! Every aspect of the IT industry has its own unique characteristics. Since there is a technology on the one hand, it shows that it is necessary for that technology to exist. There are also many fields in the IT industry, and all fields will have good technology in that field. And I recommend learning Linux because I think it is necessary for both veteran and rookie in I T industry to learn Linux. In the I / T industry, whether it is network or service or anything else, a lot of knowledge related to Linux technology will be involved.

What is Linux? Linux is a computer operating system, the Chinese pronunciation is generally "Renax", but the real pronunciation should be "Renax". The kernel of the Linux operating system is also called "Linux", and the Linux operating system is the most famous example of the development of free software and open source.

To put it simply, Linux is a free-to-use and free-distribution Unix-like operating system, which is mainly used on computers based on Intel x86 series CPU. This system is designed and implemented by thousands of programmers around the world. The aim is to provide resumes with Unix-compatible products that are not subject to copyright in any smoothing software and are freely available all over the world.

The emergence of Linux began with a computer amateur named Linus Torvalds, who was a student at the University of Helsinki in Finland. His aim was to design an operating system instead of Minix, an operating system teaching program written by a computer professor named Andrew Tannebaum, which could be used on personal computers with 386,486 or Pentium processors and with all the functions of the Unix operating system, so he began the design of a prototype of Linux.

The early boot management program (boot loader) of Linux uses LILO (Linux Loader), which has some intolerable defects, such as the inability to identify hard drives other than 8G. Later, the new GRUB (GRand Unified Bootloader) overcomes these shortcomings and has the function of 'dynamic search for core files', allowing you to edit your boot settings system files and load Linux Kernel through the ext2 or ext3 file system when you boot.

The logo and mascot of Linux is a penguin named Tux. The logo originated from the fact that Linus was bitten by a penguin in a zoo when he was in Australia and chose the penguin as the symbol of Linux. The registered trademark of Linux is owned by Linus Torvalds. This is because in 1996, a lawyer named William R. Della Croce began to send letters to various Linux publishers stating that he had ownership of the Linux trademark and requiring them to pay royalties, which filed a collective appeal to reassign the registered trademark to Linus Torvalds. Linus Torvalds has repeatedly stated that Linux is free and that he can sell it himself, but Linux can never sell it.

The basic idea of Linux has two points: first, everything is a file; second, every software has a definite purpose, and they are written as well as possible. The first one is that everything in the system boils down to one file, including commands, hardware and software devices, operating systems, processes, and so on, which are regarded as files with their own characteristics or types for the operating system kernel. As for the fact that Linux is based on Unix, it is largely because the basic ideas of the two are very similar.

Linux is famous for its efficiency and flexibility. It can realize all the Unix features on the PC computer and has the ability of multi-task and multi-user. Linux is obtained free of charge under the GNU public license and is an operating system that complies with the POSIX standard. The Linux operating system software package includes not only the complete Linux operating system, but also the text editor, high-level language compiler and other application software. It also includes a X-Window graphical user interface with multiple window managers, just as we use Windows NT, allowing us to use windows, icons, and menus to manipulate the system.

There are two main reasons why Linux is loved by computer enthusiasts. One is that it belongs to free software, so users can get it and its source code without paying any fees, and can modify it according to their own needs, use it free of charge, and continue to spread without restriction. Another reason is that it has all the functions of Unix, and anyone who uses the Unix operating system or wants to learn the Unix operating system can benefit from Linux. Running Linux does not require a high configuration, supports a large number of PC peripherals, and such a powerful software is completely free, its source code is completely open, and anyone can use it.

Having said so much, I believe everyone has a preliminary understanding of Linux, so many people have to ask, there are so many training institutions and training courses for online learning Linux, how should we choose and how to learn? In fact, I used to have a lot of confusion about learning Linux, looking for books of one kind or another to learn, but always learning this and that, without a systematic learning step, knowing that I inadvertently came across the book "Linux should learn this way" published by teacher Liu Xun. Teacher Liu Xun guides us to learn Linux from simple to complex, from basic to deep, step by step, so that we can learn thoroughly as a beginner, even if we can understand the zero foundation. I have been learning Linux for some time, from the beginning of zero foundation to learn step by step, "this is how to learn Linux" this book has been starting from reality, learning from the real scene, so that you learn Linux at a glance.

Finally, I would like to say that science and technology is not only the trend of future development, but also the current trend, so let's start with learning Linux. Come on, boy!
