How Mac OS uploads files through the FTP tool

Method 1: upload via MAC OS built-in terminal

You can upload files through MAC's own terminal or MAC Iterm2 (click here to download MAC Iterm2). Be careful to choose the correct path to upload the file.

Click here to download YummyFTP software.

Install YummyFTP on the MAC OS Apple system.

Fill in the FTP server IP, user name and password; protocol selection criteria (FTP), port selection default 21 (or change to the port you use), SSH key is not selected.

Click Connect. Open after installation as shown in the figure:

Select the directory to upload on the right (Windows does not need to select a directory, Linux host selects the htdocs directory), then select the file to upload in the left window, and right-click to upload.

Note: if you are prompted to install YummyFTP: your security preferences allow only applications from Mac App Store and approved developers to be installed, follow these steps to set up your MAC.

a. Open: system preferences > Security and Privacy.

b. Click the security lock in the lower left corner and enter the administrator password to unlock it.

c. In the application menu that allows you to download from the following location, select any source.
