­Google has just released the latest Android OS active device usage report, but it only reflects the device data accessing Google Play Store during this period, and does not include AOSP devices. As you can see from the data as of August 7, a year after its launch, Android Nougat (7.07.1) has totaled 13.5%. There are still 1.4% of older Gingerbread (2.3.3 to 2.3.7) and ICS (4.0.3 to 4.0.4) versions, while Jelly Bean (4.1 to 4.3) continues to shrink from 8.1% to 7.6%.

­KitKat (4. 4) still accounts for a large portion (16%), but has also lost the most share in the past year and a half. Lollipop (5.0-5.1) lost a total of 0.9 percentage points, while Marshmallow (6.0) increased by 0.5%.

­as for the latest Android Nougat 7.1 operating system (10 months after its launch), its share has finally passed the 1% threshold, growing from 0.9% last month to 1.2% now.

Finally, the next big version of Android O has no official name yet, but a developer preview has been released.
