Overview of Zabbix

Zabbix is a highly integrated enterprise-class open source network monitoring solution, similar to Cacti and Nagios, which provides distributed monitoring and centralized Web management interface. The monitored object only needs to support the SNMP protocol or run the Zabbix_agents agent.

Zabbix has the functions of common commercial monitoring software: host performance monitoring, network equipment performance monitoring, database performance monitoring, ftp and other general protocol monitoring. It can make use of flexible and customizable warning mechanism, allow users to send E-mail-based warnings to events, and ensure that relevant maintenance personnel can respond quickly to problems. The stored data can also be used to provide outstanding reports and real-time graphical data processing to achieve 24-hour centralized monitoring of Linux and Windows hosts. The monitoring projects can include CPU, memory, disk, network card traffic, service availability and other resources.

About the deployment of zabbix monitoring in the linux system, please refer to my previous blog, https://blog.51cto.com/13641879/2165787. The following is about installing zabbix_agent1 on the Windows system, downloading the package zabbix_agents_3.4.6.win.zip, decompressing it to disk C and renaming it to zabbix.

After the package is unzipped, there are two folders, one is / bin,/conf

Open a command prompt to install cd.. /.. / zabbix\ bin\ win64 / / go to the zabbix_agent runnable program directory zabbix_agentd.exe-I-c C:\ zabbix\ conf\ zabbix_agentd.win.conf / / specify the configuration file to install zabbix_agentd.exe-s-c C:\ zabbix\ conf\ zabbix_agentd.win.conf / / start netstat-an | findstr 10050 / / check whether port 10050 is available

4. At this point, you can see the zabbix_agent service in the task manager, which is running

5. Because it is a learning environment, the firewall has been turned off. If you need to turn on the firewall, you can set firewall rules.
