First, check the prototype of the "Interface {# IFNAME} ({# IFALIAS}): Operational status" monitoring item in the auto-discovery rule of the official template "Interface SNMP" and select "IF-MIB::ifOperStatus" in the value column.

Secondly, check the status of a port through snmpwalk (find the corresponding monitoring item in the host), as shown below

The result is as follows, obviously the unit is INTEGER, which means an integer, so passing it to Zabbix should be an integer.

Finally, take a look at the latest data of the monitoring item, such as the following figure, but the status shown is up (1). Why? Is the result from snmpwalk passed directly to Zabbix? Then look down.

Cancel the official template view value

Find the monitoring prototype of the auto-discovery rule in the official template, change the view value to the first (unchanged), and then go back to the host and execute it immediately (Execute Now)

Looking at the latest data, the display is 1. Through the above analysis, we can know that the display value is actually to escape the numerical value into a language that you can understand. If you do not understand this explanation, move on.
