Fitbit's first full-featured smartwatch, first launched in 2017, didn't exactly hit gold, but the cheaper, prettier Versa hit the market in 2018, helping the company (and at the same time) return to profitability and significantly increase its influence in the United States.

Unfortunately, the cheaper Fitbit Versa Lite version doesn't keep the brand ahead of Samsung in terms of smartwatch shipments worldwide, which is why the actual sequel to the original Versa has significant battery life boosts and built-in Alexa assistive features, apparently in preparation for a commercial debut. Apparently, that means price increases may also be in the works, which makes the first-generation Versa and Versa Lite still enjoy considerable appeal through their manufacturer's official U.S. electronics store at a $30 discount.

While Amazon is selling a slightly lower end version at the same price cut, you can also get nice rewards from the e-commerce giant's brand new Fitbit Versa Lite. That's a $20 gift card.
